Gaw Capital People’s Place and Tencent Charity Foundation have jointly launched the Fly High Charity Sports Programme 2025 to provide meaningful sports opportunities for youth living in public housing and underprivileged communities. Over 700 young participants successfully set a new Guinness World Record™ for the “Most People Bouncing Pickleballs on Paddles” at Kai Yip Recreation Centre.

The event marked Hong Kong’s first-ever pickleball world record, with over 700 young participants at the Kai Yip Recreation Centre, a rooftop multi-purpose sports court owned and managed by Gaw Capital community mall brand – People’s Place. For ten focused seconds, they kept their pickleballs bouncing in unison—a fantastic display of determination.

This milestone provided teenagers with invaluable experience in a large-scale sports event and breathed new life into the Kai Yip Recreation Centre, transforming it into a vibrant rooftop hub where young people unite to challenge limits, share their passion, and create new community stories.
