Valent Energy is a utility‑scale battery energy storage system (“BESS”) investment platform wholly owned by Gaw Capital. In 2022, Gaw Capital acquired control of a portfolio of BESS development projects in Australia under GMR Energy, and in 2023 assumed full management control of the platform, advancing the Mornington BESS project.
The platform comprises over 2GW in its development pipeline, and Gaw Capital expects to invest over A$2 billion to develop and complete these projects, supporting Australia’s large‑scale energy storage infrastructure.
